The sign indicates a place where the traffic rules regarding the crosswalk must be followed. The sign can be placed on the right side of the carriageway, above, on a platform on the carriageway or on the left side of the carriageway. If the road sign L3 does not indicate otherwise, the location of the sign in the direction of travel indicates the front edge of the crosswalk.
Traffic sign materials and standard
